The Brahman breed’s success is a result of dedicated leadership, countless volunteers and forward-leaning cattle ranchers.

Show Dedications

Each year, the American Brahman Breeders Association proudly honors outstanding individuals who have made a lasting impact on the Brahman breed through our National and International Show Dedications. These dedications recognize the lifelong commitment, leadership, and contributions of members who have helped shape and grow the breed both in the United States and around the world. We are grateful for their service and dedication to the Brahman community.

Abba Hall of fame

The ABBA Hall of Fame honors individuals whose lasting impact has significantly shaped the growth, advancement, and success of the Brahman breed. This prestigious recognition is reserved for those whose dedication, leadership, and contributions have helped elevate the breed and strengthen the legacy of the American Brahman Breeders Association.

Brahman Friend of the year

The Brahman Friend of the Year award recognizes individuals whose outstanding dedication and support have made a meaningful impact on the American Brahman Breeders Association, its members, and the Brahman breed as a whole. This honor includes both domestic and international recipients. The International Brahman Friend of the Year specifically acknowledges those who have played a vital role in promoting the breed globally—fostering international relationships, supporting breeders worldwide, and advancing the influence of Brahman cattle beyond the United States.

Brahman Sponsor of the year

The Brahman Sponsor of the Year award recognizes individuals and organizations whose generous support has been instrumental in the success of the American Brahman Breeders Association and its events. Their contributions help sustain and enhance ABBA programs, provide valuable opportunities for breeders and exhibitors, and promote the continued growth of the Brahman breed.

Henry Clay Koontz Memorial Trophy

Presented in memory of Henry Clay Koontz, this award was first presented in 1986 after the tragic death of Mr. Koontz who was a longtime breeder and promoter of Brahman cattle.

The trophy is a bronze casting of the National Champion Bull, HK Mr. America 61/9, better known as Millionaire. This bull had one of the greatest impacts on the Brahman breed of any bull in history. Each year this award is presented to the ranch or individual who accumulates the most points at the previous year’s International Brahman Show.
