The Official News of the ABBA

The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the International Brahman Show have become a valued tradition for many, setting the standard for elite Brahman genetics and competition. The International Brahman Show in Houston once again highlighted the very best of the breed. From the quality of the cattle and the sportsmanship of dedicated breeders to the friendships built with international guests, this event truly showcased the global strength and influence of the Brahman breed.

This year’s show was judged by the world-renowned PJ Budler, who brought his wealth of experience, a trained eye for functional cattle, and deep respect for Brahman genetics and breed integrity to the ring. His expertise in evaluating cattle that balance phenotype, performance, and practicality was evident throughout the competition. The level of competition and quality of cattle showcased the dedication and hard work of breeders and exhibitors throughout the year, representing both the future and the legacy of the Brahman industry.

Angel Eveline and the Eveline Family of Ganadería Los Angeles Ranches in Olancho, Honduras, are recognized as the 2026 International Brahman Show Dedication honorees, representing four generations of commitment to cattle and ranching. Their passion for agriculture has shaped the region they call home, and since introducing purebred Brahman genetics into their program in 2004, they have become influential advocates for the breed. Angel has served as a dedicated International Board Member, consistently supporting ABBA initiatives and strengthening global collaboration. The Eveline family continues to advance the Brahman breed and inspire the international cattle community.

Congratulations to all the champions for their outstanding representation of our breed. Below are the Reserve Champion, Champion, and Reserve Champion Division animals.

At the beginning of the 2026 show season, Brahmans made a strong impression at Cattlemen’s Congress, Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, and the Dixie National.
